Merer shirt maintenance
Here are some useful tips for the correct maintenance of our shirts. The warranty offered for our shirts is valid if the instructions below are followed:
Wash the shirt at a maximum water temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. This temperature will help prevent damage to the fibers and fading of the fabric.
For linen shirts, hand washing is recommended to prevent shrinkage of the fabric. Follow the washing instructions on the shirt label.
Avoid loading the washing machine tub with too many items, to give the shirt enough space to move freely during washing.
Always wash items that have similar colors to prevent color transfer and staining of the shirt.
Before washing, close the buttons of the shirt and remove the detachable collar tabs, if they have them. This will help protect the tabs and prevent damage to the fabric.
Avoid drying your shirt in the automatic washing machine system, as this can lead to fiber wear and fabric shrinkage. It is recommended to dry your shirt outdoors, directly on a hanger.
Avoid starching shirts, as starch can damage the fibers and discolor the fabric. If you want to give your shirts a more polished look, you can use alternative methods, such as using a special shirt ironing spray.
Do not use bleach, as it can damage the fabric structure and shorten the life of the shirt.
After washing, we recommend drying the shirt outdoors, directly on a hanger, to prevent wrinkles and maintain the correct shape of the shirt. Avoid direct sunlight, as this may cause fading.
To achieve the best ironing results, it is recommended to iron the shirt while it is still damp, on the back of the fabric. This way, you will get a smoother and more well-groomed shirt.
Make sure the soleplate and the grooves of the iron are clean and free of residue to prevent damage to the fabric.
Set the iron to a medium temperature to prevent burning the fabric and premature yellowing.
